We believe that a congenial and trust-filled atmosphere is essential for creative and academic growth. Therefore, we maintain a Zero-Tolerance Policy against all forms of verbal abuse, physical abuse, and ragging.
1. Scope and Applicability
This policy applies to all students, faculty members, staff, and visitors associated with Arena Animation Belagavi both on and off campus, including during classes, workshops, field trips, and any institute-sponsored events.
2. Definitions
a. Ragging
Any act, conduct, or practice, by any student or group of students, that is considered to be a rude or undisciplined behavior. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Teasing, embarrassing, or harassing any student.
- Assaulting or using force on any student.
- Causing or attempting to cause physical or psychological harm or fear.
- Forcing a student to do any act that he/she would not willingly do.
b. Verbal Abuse
The use of language (spoken, written, or electronic) that is offensive, humiliating, threatening, or demeaning to any individual or group. This includes:
- Shouting, name-calling, or using slurs.
- Making offensive jokes or comments about a person’s background, religion, gender, or appearance.
- Threatening a student with any form of harm.
c. Physical Abuse
Any unwanted physical contact or action that causes pain, injury, or fear of harm. This includes:
- Slapping, punching, pushing, or kicking.
- Using any object as a weapon.
- Threatening gestures or actions.
- Any form of unwelcome physical restraint.
3. Our Commitment
Arena Animation Belagavi promises the following to all students and their parents:
- A Congenial Environment: We will foster an environment built on mutual respect, collaboration, and trust, where every student feels valued and secure.
- Protection of Dignity: We uphold the right of every individual to be treated with dignity and respect, free from fear of abuse or intimidation.
- Prompt Action: Any reported incident will be investigated immediately, thoroughly, and confidentially.
4. Consequences of Violation (Disciplinary Action)
Any individual found guilty of engaging in or encouraging verbal abuse, physical abuse, or ragging will face severe disciplinary action, which may include one or more of the following:
- Warning and Counseling.
- Suspension from attending classes for a specified period.
- Imposition of a fine.
- Expulsion from the institute, leading to the cancellation of their admission and forfeiture of all fees paid.
- Filing a criminal complaint with the local law enforcement authorities, as per applicable law.
The institute will also inform the parents/guardians of the student involved in any serious violation.
5. Reporting Procedure
We encourage students to report incidents without hesitation. Strict confidentiality will be maintained to protect the identity of the complainant.
How to Report an Incident:
- Direct Contact: Immediately report the incident to any of the following individuals:
- The Center Head / Director.
- Any Faculty Member or Class Coordinator.
- Written Complaint: Submit a detailed written complaint (signed or unsigned) describing the incident, the individuals involved (if known), the date, and the location.
- Email: Send an email to the official institute contact email designated for student grievances.
